Pro-Rating:

Salt City Smithery LLC does not pro-rate any class due to late registration or missed classes. Extreme circumstances may be handled in writing and forwarded to the director.

Missed Classes:

On a case-by-case basis, missed classes may be made up by scheduling time with the instructor, if available. Students will have to pay for this time unless it was the instructor who missed the class. Note – this courtesy will be considered on a case by case situation. The same student may not make up more than 2 classes in a one year time frame.

Lifelong Learning (University of Utah) Classes:

All cancellation policies specified by Lifelong Learning apply.

Materials Kits:

Please note, Most of our classes require the purchase of a materials kit. It is strongly recommended that you purchase these kits from SCS in order to complete the projects being taught without issue.
The kits are carefully assembled to provide students with the right amount of raw materials, and at times, specialty tools that are needed to complete the projects successfully. Students who opt out of purchasing studio provided kits and who work with their own materials may be at a disadvantage when it comes to completing their projects accurately.

Gift Certificates:

Our gift certificates can be purchased for any dollar amount and can be used for classes and jewelry. Paper gift certificates are available at our studio location – 44W 3450 S, Salt Lake City, UT., or we would be happy to create a pdf version that can be emailed to your recipient. Click here to purchase a gift certificate online.

Emergency Plan:

In the event the building fire alarm is triggered, all students and staff will immediately exit the building and gather at the southeast corner of the parking lot (closer to Main Street) We will only reenter the building when it has been cleared by local fire department personnel.
