Saturday and Sunday, March 16 & 17, 9am – 4:00pm. Note – there will be a half hour break for lunch.
Objective: Learn how to apply wet enamels with a brush. Learn how to place cloisonne wires and how to create gradients. The students will learn how to wash enamels and why. By the end of the course, the student will have a basic understanding of shading with enamels, transitioning from one color to another, know how to place cloisonne wires and how to create a “cabochon” from an enamel.
To give the student a better understanding of how each enamel reacts over different metals, we will create a small test plate.
Due to the fact that every student will have their own color preferences and artistic voice, each student is required to buy their own enamels for this course. We will also have enamels available (with a usage fee) for those students who do not wish to purchase their own enamels. Links and color suggestions will be provided.
TUITION: $340
Materials Kit Fee: To be advised. The enamels needed for this course can either be purchased for your own personal collection or you can use the studio provided enamels ($15 usage fee).
