You’ve taken your first class and had a taste of the magic that is silversmithing. This class is an exploration of the avenues that you can take your silversmithing skills down. We will cover advanced bezel settings (stones with points and corners, and using heavier gauge bezel wire), cold connections (rivets), making chain and clasps, and layering metals. Students will be encouraged to create their designs, and will be guided through planning the steps to execute them, with the goal of working more independently. This will include talking about how to order materials and which materials are most appropriate for your projects.
Note – this class meets Tuesday nights, 6/13-7/18, 6-9pm
