About the Class

What’s a cowboy toothpick? Cowboys have had a long tradition of keeping a “toothpick” in their hats. They were used to clean their teeth and even to whittle away at pieces of wood. In this class you will create a pin that can be used in your hat or in your hair. This hands-on experience is designed for participants of all skill levels.

Techniques covered: cabochon stone setting, soldering, twisting wire, filing, polishing.

We will have a selection of stones to choose from to add to your pin.

Cancellations, Refunds, Missed Classes, and Pro-Rating

1. Cancellation by Salt City Smithery: If a class must be cancelled by Salt City Smithery, all registered students will be notified and a full refund will be issued to students.
2. Cancellation by Student: Salt City Smithery weekly/daily classes: If you are unable to attend a class that you have already paid for, please notify Salt City Smithery at least 72 HOURS prior to the start date of the class. Once notification is given in a timely manner, a full refund, minus $15 cancellation fee, will be given. Refunds will not be given for cancellations when notification is given less than 72 hours prior to start date of class.

Attendees are required to sign a waiver of liability at least once before registering for an open studio.
