The Pin Project: Wireworked Pins
Who says a pin has to be boring? In this class, you’ll transform simple wire into beautiful, functional jewelry while learning several classic wireworking techniques.
We’ll create a variety of handcrafted pins, including the timeless penannular pin along with other decorative wire pin styles perfect for scarves, shawls, sweaters, hats, and more. Working in sterling silver and/or copper and brass, you’ll learn how to form elegant curves, create balanced designs, forge, harden, and finish your pieces for strength and durability. These projects are satisfying to make, surprisingly versatile, and a great way to build your wire-forming skills while leaving with jewelry you’ll actually use.
DATES: Mondays, 8/10 – 8/17/26, 6-9pm
INSTRUCTOR: Amy Schmidt
MATERIALS KIT: $15 – includes copper, brass and bronze wire. Sterling silver will be available for purchase and will be charged by weight.
