Fabricate a heavy-gauge, textured copper, round-corner plate belt buckle using traditional metalsmithing techniques. Learn the secret to thick copper soldering to fabricate the swivel and pin mechanisms on the back of the buckle.
In this class, you’ll explore texturing methods using a rolling mill, then cut, form, clean up, and patina finish the buckle to fit a 1 1/2″ belt. Once you learn the basics of this versatile belt buckle style, you can expand your designs to include sawing, inlay, carving, engraving and other advanced techniques for future belt buckles.
Stamped Western-style PU Leather belts are available to purchase in limited sizes.
