Jewelry Make and Take: July 11, Sand Cast Ring **This is a Lifelong Learning Class with U of U (LLCFT 168)**

Discover the traditional art of sand casting in this hands-on workshop! Students will learn how to quickly replicate shapes in metal using ring molds, with additional mold techniques discussed. We’ll practice casting stones directly in place, creating unique and personalized designs. Students who are already familiar with bezel setting are welcome to bring small stones to incorporate into their rings. (Please note: bezel setting techniques will not be taught during this session.) No prior casting experience required, just bring your creativity!

WHAT TO BRING: Your clean silver scrap, if you have it
DATES: Saturday, July 11, 10am – 3pm
INSTRUCTOR: Amy Schmidt
MATERIALS FEE: Silver will be weighed and charged accordingly during class. Heat tolerant stones will also be available for purchase in class.
SKILL LEVEL: No experience needed—just bring your creativity and a love for fire and metal!
