Saturday & Sunday August 13th & 14th, 10a-4p
In this course we will learn how to wet pack with transparent, translucent, and opaque enamels. We will create a test plate to illustrate how various colors react to various metals. The students will then create white and silver foil blanks which will be used throughout the rest of the course where we will learn how to transition from one color to another and add surface treatments. The students will learn how to set and fire cloisonné wires creating simple and more complicated pieces with an emphasis on transitioning from one color to another. Finally, we will add gold and silver foil for added interest. Students must be comfortable with creating blanks and sifting enamels to take this course.
