Metalsmithing 1, 4-Day Intensive

Ready to light the torch? 🔥 This four-day immersive workshop is designed as the ultimate jump start into the world of metalsmithing.

Over the course of the intensive, students will complete three finished projects while building a strong technical foundation. Through hands-on instruction and guided bench time, you’ll learn:

• Saw piercing and precise cutting techniques

• Texturing metal

• Torch soldering basics and best practices

• Chain making by hand

• Setting a cabochon in a classic bezel setting

• Making a ring to size

• Filing, finishing, and polishing for a professional result

Each skill builds on the next, giving you a well-rounded introduction to the tools, materials, and processes used in jewelry fabrication. You’ll walk away with not only finished pieces, but the confidence to work independently at the bench.

Whether you’re brand new or looking to solidify your fundamentals, this intensive provides the experience and momentum to carry you into more advanced classes and deeper exploration on your metalsmithing journey.
