Intermediate Cloisonné

Saturday & Sunday August 27th & 28th, 10a-4p

In this course we will take wet packing and cloisonné to the next level. We will be working with fine silver. We will create a test plate layering colors on one another to make a layering reference palette. We will work on two projects – one an eye to illustrate how to embed foils to create added depth and a more complicated cubist style (or floral) piece with more cells, smaller cells, and many color transitions. Students must be comfortable with creating blanks and sifting enamels to take this course and have a basic understanding of wet packing enamels.

MATERIALS KIT: Will be $55 if you have the kit from the Introduction to Wetpacking Class, it will be $85 if not, payable in class.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate or proven experience.

Cancellation by Salt City Smithery:

If a class must be cancelled by Salt City Smithery, all registered students will be notified and a full refund will be issued to students.

Cancellation by Student:

Salt City Smithery weekly/daily classes: If you are unable to attend a class that you have already paid for, please notify Salt City Smithery at least 72 HOURS prior to the start date of the class. Once notification is given in a timely manner, a full refund, minus $15 cancellation fee, will be given. Refunds will not be given for cancellations when notification is given less than 72 hours prior to start date of class.
