We are extending our boxes knowledge to rounded lids, odd-shaped boxes and handles, and whatever else we dream up.
In this intermediate class, you’ll learn how to create a round box using copper, embossed copper images, and textures. You’ll learn how to calculate the amount of metal needed and create a rim for a tension lid. Choose your texture from twenty new texture plates, hammer a unique texture, or leave it simple. Learn the basics of pressing an image into copper, then choose from a wide variety of pre-pressed images, and how to create the semi-hollow lid. Learn the tricks of soldering copper. We will finish with techniques to antique, finish, and polish your box.
If you have time, you can start, and possibly finish a second box.
