Can I retake a beginner or intermediate class?

Of course! Practice makes perfect (and more fun). Come as many times as you like!

I’d like to propose a class. How do I do that?

If you are interested in teaching or proposing a specific class. We’d love to hear your idea!

Do I register and pay for classes in advance?

Yes — you’ll register and pay in advance for classes and open studio sessions right in our Classes section.

What do I need to bring for a class?

After you register, we’ll email you a list of what we’ll use. Bring your tools if you like or use ours — no stress if you don’t have it all. We’ve got plenty, and we also sell materials and tools!

I am a complete beginner, do you have classes suitable for me?

Absolutely! We love beginners and offer a variety of classes specifically designed for you.

Do I need to bring my tools?

You’re welcome to use our tools during class, but we encourage you to start building your own toolkit over time. We offer metal and essential supplies for every project — available both in the studio and through our online store.

Do you sell supplies that I’ll use for every project?

Yes! You can purchase essential supplies like metal, solder, sanding discs, polishing wheels, drill bits, and burs. We sell sets in the studio and our online store.

Do you allow children do take classes?

Our classes are open to ages 16 and up.

We also build classes around your needs! We’ve offered parent-and-older-child classes, special sessions for cancer siblings, and we teach a fun week-long teen camp in the summer. Just email us at info@domain.com to discuss ideas.

Do you offer private classes?

Yes! We can schedule private classes for your needs. You can even choose a specific instructor or focus on a particular technique. Learn more about private classes here.

Do you offer class refunds?

If you know you can’t attend a class, please contact us immediately. You can view our refund policy here. Policies for visiting instructor workshops vary and can be found in the class descriptions in our Classes section.

Do you offer open studio?

Yes! Join a metalsmithing or enameling open studio to work on your projects at your own pace.

You have access to all our tools and equipment, and you should bring your metal and supplies or purchase them from our store.

Instructors are there for gentle guidance if needed, but it’s your time to create and connect.  Dates are on the calendar, and we recommend signing up in advance.

Do I need to take classes prior to joining Open Studio?

You need to show your proficiency first. You don’t have to take a class with us specifically, but you should be comfortable working safely and independently.

Open Studio is meant for independent work with light guidance as needed. If you need in-depth instruction, we recommend enrolling in a metalsmithing class.
